Dr Jacqui Manohar

Dr Jacqui Manohar is a Melbourne trained Paediatrician, completing her medical degree at Monash University, Melbourne in 2005. She has been working in paediatrics since 2007, including specialist training at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and Monash Children’s Hospital under several departments including Developmental Medicine, and The Centre for Community Child Health. In addition, Jacqui has also completed a Masters of Public Health through University of Newcastle in 2017. She has a strong interest in medical education and research, completing a Certificate in Medical Education at The University of Melbourne in 2018.

 

 

Jacqui is a specialist developmental paediatrician whose experience in caring for children from birth to late adolescence spans across a wide range of neurodevelopmental, behavioural and general medical conditions. Jacqui’s areas of interest include the assessment and management of children with concerns around development and behaviour such as developmental delay, attention difficulties, autism, anxiety, social difficulties, challenging behaviour, learning difficulties, and intellectual disability. She also sees children with problems around sleep and settling, toileting and continence, feeding, growth and weight, prematurity, allergies and complex medical conditions. In addition, Jacqui has an interest in unsettled babies, undertaking research into infant colic with results published and presented at local and international conferences.

 

 

Jacqui feels it is a privilege to work with children and their families and strongly believes in maximising the unique potential of each child. She is passionate about providing holistic care and support to children and their families. Jacqui works closely with other services including psychologists, speech pathologists, GPs, teachers, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive assessment and management for each individual.

 

 

As a mother of three children, Jacqui understands the demands and joys of raising children. It has also shown her the importance to look after your own wellbeing as well as your child’s. Outside her professional life, she enjoys spending time with family and travelling.
